November 13th-17th

We had another amazing week. The book fair started on Friday and we made our wish list. In class we have been learning about Thanksgiving in the past, present, and future.  We are doing fun activities to help us with this social studies activity.

Your child came home with their ipads today. Please have your child sign on and read the books I have assigned to them. Then they can go on to Doodle Buddy and any app on their ipad. Please charge ipads each night and return them to school each day.


What we know:

Letters: We have been been learning the sounds and recognizing the letters, t, b, f, m, n, u, i, o, c, s, a, e, r, j, p, h, l, k, v, w, x, and y.  Help your child recognize letters and their sounds. Have them say the letter, the picture, and then the sound the letter makes. For example, t, top, /t/. This week we are adding the letters v and w. We have started Phoneme Blending. Identifying sounds in a spoken word. 

Sight Words: the, see, can, a, I, like, we, to, go. Please have your child practice the sight words. They can write the sight words on index cards to make flash cards. They can trace them in salt. 

Specials Schedule:  Our class is divided in half each day. Half of the class goes with Mrs. Zarlengo's class and the other half goes with Mrs. Mink's class.
