Nov. 6th - 10th

We had a great week! We have been moving along smoothly in math, reading, and writing. Continue to work with your child at home. Practice the sight words and read with them each night. They will be coming home with a book each night in a baggie. Please read with them each night. Please return the book each day. We do an activity with the books each day.

What we know:

Letters: We have been been learning the sounds and recognizing the letters, t, b, f, m, n, u, i, o, c, s, a, e, r, j, p, h, l, and k.  Help your child recognize letters and their sounds. Have them say the letter, the picture, and then the sound the letter makes. For example, t, top, /t/. This week we are adding the letters v and w. We have started Phoneme Blending. Identifying sounds in a spoken word. 

Sight Words: the, see, can, a, I, like, we, to and go. Please have your child practice the sight words. They can write the sight words on index cards to make flash cards. They can trace them in salt. Our new sight word for the week is: and.

Specials Schedule:  Our class is divided in half each day. Half of the class goes with Mrs. Zarlengo's class and the other half goes with Mrs. Mink's class.
